From the west of Ireland, near the famous Galway Bay, comes this sparkling Galway lead Crystal decanter , perfect for wine or whiskey, and a lovely focal point for any display of barware. It measures 9.5" with the stopper and 6.5" without the stopper, and weighs 3.5 lbs. It is a square shape with angled corners. The lead crystal is cut with criss crosses on the bottom part of each of the four sides, topped with vertical straight cuts. The base has a starburst cut design. Reflecting light beautifully, this decanter is from a New England estate and was purchased in Galway in the 1960's or 70's. It was used only for display and still has a small sticker which says Galway Crystal Hand Cut in Ireland, as well as Galway Crystal etched on the base.It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or damage at all...A great gift or a charming addition to any room.
