Fantastic antique German pull toy donkey and clay face Santa. Please read full description of each. Item is OLD and does show signs of wear. DONKEY: Measures 5.5 inches tall by 6 inches long. With Santa on his back the total height of both is 7 inches tall. The donkey features a composition or possibly heavy cardboard body covered in a mohair material. His legs and hooves are wooden. He has 4 tiny metal wheels, one on each hoof, making him a charming pull toy. He has large mohair covered paper ears, glass eyes, blue cloth saddle, and heavy paper bridle, reins, and girth. He is in overall excellent condition with a few areas of thinning or missing hair. There is a crack in the cardboard between the body and leg on the hind left leg as clearly seen in the pictures. Does NOT affect the ability to stand and is solid. SANTA: Features a wonderful clay face and clay hands. Boots are a painted composition material. In one clay hand he holds a REAL dyed goose feather tree sprig with berry on top. His clothing is VERY fragile and not to be handled, he is best displayed. There are parts of his clothing which have pulled apart and are thinning. I don't notice these when he's displayed but look closely as this may be a big deal for the new owner. You can see on the bottom trim of his coat where GERMANY is stamped in purple, although it is fading.
