ENTIRE FENTON ART GLASS COLLECTION 1937 SPANNING 70 YEARS 2007 RARE FENTON BEAR FOUND PLUM OPALESCENT MADE WITH PURE GOLD AND PHOSPHATE No two pieces are ever the same! 1959 was the year this unique color was developed; a perfect combination of Earth's elements, fire, and the skillful magic of Fenton masters. While the glass is still in it's molten state, it's clear. It is allowed to cool, then reheated. That is when the gold crystals grow into plum and the phosphate crystals turn white at the edges. This piece was recently discovered and brought to us. It is all original and everything remains the way it left the Fenton Gift Shop. Someone has transcribed, "11-6-96" on the bottom on the price tag. It also includes the tiny booklet describing Plum Opalescent and the silver thread that holds it in place. We absolutely stand behind this piece and guarantee it is flawless. Please note that t is a "1" in the upper left of the price tag; further proof that this is a First Quality Fenton.
