Description : For your consideration, I am offering this elegant vintage Fostoria "American" Pedestal Cake Plate Stand Salver with Brandy/Rum well in the center. The well was used to keep the cake moist. Size : The cake bed measures approx 10" square and the overall height is approx 7". The (hollow) base diameter is approx 5 1/2" at the widest point / bottom and the lip edge is approx 1 1/2" wide. Condition : This beautiful vintage piece sparkles like diamonds and is in wonderful condition. It is crystal clear, shiny and lively and has very minimal surface wear. It does have the expected pedestal mold lines, glass imperfections and tiny bubbles which make vintage glass so wonderful to collect. (T is one glass imperfection in particular which appears as a thin swirled line/s approx 2" long and can only be felt on the underneath side of the cake bed. After examining several times, I found a tiny flea bite/chip along the bottom edge/rim line of the pedestal). Shipping : This piece is very heavy and fragile. I will pack carefully, double box and will mail by USPS Priority Mail to any w in the USA (only) for $35.00 which will include enough insurance to cover the purchase price and delivery confirmation.
