This is a model of a P-40N Warhawk flown by Captain Fred Burgett of the 25th Fighter Sqn./51st FG USAAF Yunnai, China 1944. The P-40 operated in every theatre of war except the main European theatre. Over 14,000 were built, used by 28 nations and the N model was an uprated aircraft with slightly improved performance, could carry a larger warload, had a longer fuselage, and cockpit stretched for improved rear vision. The model was briefly displayed in smoke/pet free environment and is in mint condition as is the box. Both will be packed securely in another box , shipped by 2nd Class Royal Mail fully insured and signed for (2-3working days). Unless by prior arrangement, payment by PayPal within 48hours of auction closure please, otherwise item will be relisted. As weights vary slightly,if mail costs less than quoted a rebate will be sent to buyer. Also if other aircraft bought, £5 rebate on cost of postage . Questions welcome.
