Frederick "Cy" Williams (1887 – 1974), American professional baseball player. Williams played in Major League Baseball as an outfielder for the Chicago Cubs (1912–17) and Philadelphia Phillies (1918–30), and was one of the most prominent home run hitters in the National League.After retirement, he worked as an architect in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. A check, signed by Fred Williams.The check is folded and slightly creased/soiled. There is a small piece of tape on the reverses. The signed check comes from the inventory of Tom and Cordelia Platt.
