15 (38 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with plump rounded facial modeling, pale blue glass enamel eyes, painted lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over original Schmitt pate, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, body finish original albeit scuffed. Marks: Bte SGDG 1 (head) Sch (derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: very pretty model in hard to find size with original signed body, lovely bisque and painting, original pate. Estimate: 8000/12,000
