New 8 ft Suede Tan Gymnastics Balance Beam You are viewing a brand new wood core low profile balance beam from The Beam Store . Our products have been featured on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and in industry trade publications, USA Gymnastics and Inside Gymnastics. It is 8 ft long with a padded top and is covered with a heavy grade synthetic suede material. The material is durable and easy to clean. The work surface is 4 in. wide and the beam is 7 in high. The beam is made using cross grain laminated wood construction. This gives the beam its strength and prevents warping or twisting and eliminates the need for a center support. The beam core is planed and sanded to the competition oval beam shape . Our beams are built as close as possible to competition beams for a realistic training experience. This includes the padding, covering and shape. The beam core has been predrilled to allow the addition of our raised metal legs at a later time. These can be purchased directly from our Ebay store. The support braces are 12 in. wide and made of wood with rounded corners and soft edges. The bottom of the support braces have felt padding to protect the flooring beneath. This will make a great practice beam.
