Geology and Mineralogy by William Buckland Physical Description: Vol.1 (xvi) 618 Pages, Vol. 2 (vii) 129 Pages 69 Plates many Folded & 1 Large Coloured Fig Folded. .Language: English Published: London William Pickering Size: 22 cm x 14 cm The 2 volumes come in uniform half calf, marble boards and edges, decorative spine. Covers: The leather is scraped on the edges and slightly faded in places on both volumes, some rubbing to the marble which has peeled in a place on the edges, all the corners are chipped, bumped and bent. Both spines are rubbed, slightly chipped at the top of volume 2 which is missing one name tag and with a small chip to the other. Inside: There are names written on the endpapers in both volumes and a name in pencil on the half title of volume 2. The pages are slightly toned in volume 1 which has a light handling mark on the title page and literally a couple of marks otherwise clean throughout and very tightly bound. The pages are toned in volume 2 with some minimal spotting on a couple of the index pages and tightly bound. The 69 plates do have some spotting to varying degrees. The plates are all bright with no tears. The folding plates have only been looked at by me to take the pictures. The plates are in super condition only let down by the spotting. Whoever buys these books will be very happy
