Up for bid is an original Prussian model 1852 cavalry officer's sword in very good condition. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS BELOW THE DESCRIPTION. Unsharpened double etched 32 inch blade is marked MOHR & SPEYER BERLIN on its spine. Quality blade etching includes a Crowned Prussian Eagle and florid designs. Blade measures 13/16 inch wide near the handle, has oxidation spots, and has dark patina spots. Steel handle has no cracks, has oxidation spots, and has dark patina. Leather finger loop maintains traces of its white finish and has no tears. Handle is a bit loose on the blade tang with 1/32 inch of play. Wood grip maintains its shark or ray skin cover which has some minor surface damage. Grip also maintains silver wire wrap in excellent order. No scabbard. A very good original Prussian model 1852 officer's sword! Shipping is USPS Insured Priority Mail calculated based upon your address. Due to customs restrictions, buyers in China, Japan, Russia or Italy will need to make arrangements to ship to one of your contacts in another country that accepts edged weapons.
