German infantry officer visor hat. High quality doeskin wool with white piping and black velvet band. Silver chin cord (shows some age darkening) with metal fittings under knots. Vulken fiber visor shows age (not shiny) and underneath visor is pretty worn. Leather sweat band shows use and is maker marked. Silk like lining is stained and torn in a couple of places. Plastic sweat shield is missing but maker logo is visible on lining. Not a bad example of an extremely rare hat.
