Placer gold is perfect for jewelry making or just adding to your collection. Each and every nugget is unique and rare. There are no two alike. I try to match up the pairs in size and shape in order to make a nice pair of earrings. At the time of this listing, gold is $1658.00 per ounce. These are large, shiny nuggets. Alaskan placer nuggets are 22KT gold and these nuggets assay at 86% pure...very rare. My nuggets come from the Fairbanks mining district. The picture you see is the exact gold you are bidding on...not photo-shopped or enhanced. The total weight of these nuggets is: 1.495 Grams 23.1 GRAINS .0481 Troy ounce .963 DWT (Penny Weight) Gold Weight: Compare the weight in grams or ounces of the nugget to the current spot price of gold. (There are 31.1 grams per troy oz). Nuggets do fetch more than raw melted gold due to its rarity in nugget form. Remember, gold weight is most often listed in troy and metric values.
