In no way does this reflect what we have invested in these items . we have what may be a very important Set of Gorham Sterling Silver. This was found at a Austin Texas Estate sale. The sellers purchased this from a longtime friend of President Lyndon Johnson. The set is in fact monogrammed LBJ and the provenance and history are quite together from what I have seen and heard. This is an 88 piece Gorham Chantilly pattern setting for 12 people. The set weighs 3288 grams of Sterling silver, is comprised of 117 ounces, which translates to 7.31 pounds of Sterling silver. This is the early 1895 Gorham marked piece. Not the new stuff. T are 12 dinner knifes, 12 seafood forks, 12 forks, 12 butter knives, 12 soup spoons, 25 regular dinner spoons, 1-9" serving spoon, and a rather rare Childs set which consists of a fork and spoon. This alone gets over $100.00 on ebay. The fact that this was once owned by President Lyndon Johnson should skyrocket this set beyond weight or style. An amazing set with a rare superb provenance. Comes with a wooden box that may or may not be original. The set was stored well and has not been used in many years. A fantastic set and a wonderful piece of history. I am listing this with NO reserve. So the high bidder gets it. With Silver looking like $20.00 an ounce by years end and said to be $30.00 by spring. You just cannot lose. No chips, cracks or repairs. Measuring almost 9" in diameter I will ship to Europe. No reserve as always. We accept check or money order (preferred) and also take paypal. We ship Anyw in the world.
