Gorgeous Mysterious Blue. The irridizing on this beautiful wine cup came out more as a purplish metallic sheen on the lower two thirds. The interior is a nice satin mid-tone blue which carries up over the lip and down onto the upper exterior in a random pattern. You can feel the swirls with your fingers as they are quite defined in the glass. New, Perfect Cond., Signed Watson. Measures 3-1/4" high, 2-5/8" diameter across the body, and 2-3/8" across the top. A very nice look and feel. Everything done on this and all of my winecups, is done with molton glass. Everything is done while the glass is in a molton state, shaping, design work, color applications, etc. Nothing is done to the glass once it leaves the end of the punty rod, except to anneal it. (I mention this because some people are confused as to how the color is added, it is all glass, the color being condensed color glass rods from Germany and other parts of the world.) As with all my wine cups, the natural punty mark is recessed slightly in the base. The punty mark is a wonderful mark of it's being handmade, an important part of it's creation, the point w it was joined for it's development then seperated. Just like belly buttons, and just as most people don't remove their belly buttons, I leave the punty marks. Perfect for a Special Gift or to keep yourself. These wine read more
