HANDSOMELY CARVED 5 HOLE BONE FLUTE from the Highlands of Southern Peru of Incan ( Quechuan) craftsmanship. Probably carved from a Llama bone. Its lovely polished patina, from age and caressing. The body has the unique inscription of a royal figure, with the upper finger hole represented by its mouth The highlight of the piece is at the end of the flute, displaying a beautifully carved figurine playing a miniature flute. This piece is a reproduction of the former ones, at present they use it in the Andean communities of the cusco for the shamans to call to the souls to do his treatments, or in the populated centers they use it for ahcer called the mass that is in Quechua language.Really it is a good work and carved, .
