HO Brass Pacific Electric "Niles" #1300 Wood Combine. Custom Painted. Produced by Takada of Japan in 1970 for Suydam. Item #1300Southern California's vast and varied Pacific Electric fleet included this handsome arch-windowed wood combine built by Niles Car Co. in 1909. It served the PE's Inland Empire around Riverside and San Bernardino until 1941.The model is in excellent condition with a skillfully applied custom paint job. No window material has been installed. The model has been on static display for many years. There is some very light wheel wear. It test runs quite smoothly in both directions, powered by a floor-mounted open-frame motor, connected to a single truck by a spring-drive universal. The 'blue' gears on the powered truck are intact and all are engaged.The original box and all original packing is provided.
