Japanese Meiji Era Page Turner - Nice Kinko & Katakiri Bori Work This is a nice page turner made by a sword fittings maker after the Meiji restoration sword ban. The piece is 10 3/4" long overall, with a blade length of 7". The handle is a very nice basket of grapes and other fruit, with a mouse on the basket handle, eyeing the goodies. The other side of the handle features a blooming flower. The brass blade is nice Katakiri Bori engraving of a bird & butterfly with branches.
