You are looking at an authentic "Sensu" or folding fan from Kyoto Japan. This is a hand-manufactured Japanese product, not a mass produced flimsy knock-off from China. The hand painted image on the front of the fan is of a handcart containing a basket overflowing with flowers. At it's widest point the fan is 20 inches long unfolded.The fan comes with a wooden display unit that can be attached to a wall to show off the unfolded fan. You can see it in the box in the picture of the folded fan. This is a really beautiful piece. please check out my other auction.... Thanks!
