This is a Japanese hand painted scroll on silk of a series of roses. There is a small hole at the bottom of the scroll left side. (see photo # 7) Otherwise it is in very good condition. Perfect for framing or hanging as is. It is signed and stamped by the artist in the lower right. The scroll ends are made of plastic. (last two photos) The scroll is 56 inches long (144 cm) and 25 inches wide (64 cm) The painting itself (the "honshi") is 15 1/2 inches long. (40 cm) and 19 inches wide (49 cm).
