r This is a Japanese WWll naval officer`s sword in Kaigunto combat mountings. The blade is signed "Takeyasu saku 武泰作" with anchor stamp, shinogi-zukuri shape, WWll time period ca.1940 era made blade. The blade is made of anti-rust steel, in old polish, shows fine scratches but no rust, no stain and in good condition. The temper line is wavy chu-suguba and has deep temper at the point. There is no nick, no bend, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. It is mounted in Naval Kaigunto combat mountings, scabbard is leather covered wood scabbard, shows aged wear but no tear, no crack, no bend and in good condition. The handle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrapping is no cut, no loose also in good condition. Tsuba and seppa are matched number 140 stamped. It measures 25+1/2" tip to the guard, 24+1/2" cutting edge, 1+1/4" width, 8 mm thickness at the notch and 37+1/4" in mountings. Shipping is $25 priority in U.S. No international shipping.
