This auction is for a John Deere, The Operation, Care and Repair of Farm Machinery, Ninth Edition from 1938. This book is 5" X 8" with 225 pages with numerous illustrations & pictures of John Deere Tractors and Implements. This book is in great condition and was used by schools to teach about farming. The Preface mentions the importance of learning about farm machines and how the high schools and agricultural colleges in the United States were doing a very commendable work in teaching farm mechanics to the young men that will be the farmers and agricultureal leaders fo tomorrow. Inside cover has student name and 1941 written and also school mark "High School Library, NO.------, Lavern, Minn". No other writing that I noticed and little wear overall. Published by John Deere, Moline, Illinois. Contents include: Part One - Preparation of the Seed Bed, Chapter I.
