LOT # 29 Detailed Photos Estate Road Show L29 SCARCE WH GRINDLEY GRACE PATTERN Gr-E BODY Rd #303495 US PAT OCT 1897 PLATES Item Description The Estate Road Show is proud to present this first of a Giant classic set of Scarce & valuable, October 19, 1897 U.S. patented, W.H. Grindley Flow blue in the highly collectible Gr-E style Grace pattern. Our first lot represents (4) fine 8 inch salad plates, all with the fantastic rich deep Grindley Cobalt salts, and the unique packed floral pattern with inner rim Fleur de Lis roundels, and gorgeous bead sculpted, scrolling rims. The dual base stamps feature the Godden #1842A / + Kowalskys KAD #B1127 Grindley boat & globe mark including the Trade Mark designation, used exclusively from 1880 & 1914, with the addition of England from 1891 to 1914. The Grace pattern of semi porcelain Flow Blue is considered one of Grindleys finest,consistently bringing premium prices, and was first offered in the U.S.A. ca. 1898 in the Montgomery Ward & Co. catalog. The Gr-E body style was produced for almost a decade in (8) separate renowned Grindley flow blue patterns such as Argos, Belmont I, Brussels, Celtic, Clytie, Dorothy, and Wreath. William H.
