LOT # 304 Detailed Photos Estate Road Show L304 VINTAGE LOT 2 LIONEL RAILROAD TRAIN CARS 6456 HOPPER 6357 CABOOSE Item Description Offered for your bidding consideration this Lot of 2 Lionel Train Cars that includes The 6456 Lehigh Valley hopper, along with its earlier cousin the 2456 Lehigh Valley Hopper, were the first new short hoppers introduced by Lionel in the postwar era. The 6456 was included in practically every cataloged set. The 6357 caboose has the distinction of having the longest lifespan of any Lionel caboose in the postwar era. It was introduced in 1948 and ultimately retired in 1961. Its 14-year life started in Lionel's heyday of the late 1940's and is one of the few products to span all three decades of postwar train production.
