LARGE SIZE HANDYSIDE'S CONSUMPTION CURE ( medicine shape ) , it dates to around 1890 This is one of a many Handysides i will be listing , please note this auction is for the large size " medicine shape " consumption cure only CONDITION apart from the tiniest lip nicks it is in excellent condition DESCRIPTION this is a RARE !!! LARGE SIZE HANDYSIDE'S CONSUMPTION CURE ( medicine shape ) in excellent condition ( PLEASE SEE PICS ! ) , it measures 195mm in height & 80mm in width , this large size is even harder to obtain than the smaller version & the style of the embossing is also different , it is one of only two types of bottle that George Handyside used that has the address embossed , embossed to one side is HANDYSIDE'S CONSUMPTION CURE and embossed to the other side is NEWCASTLE ON TYNE George Handyside started trading in Newcastle as a Consuption cure manufacturer in 1889 , he went on to produce a wide range of cures / remedies - Handysides Rheumatic cure , blood food , blood medicine , easily digested syrup , drink preparation , blood purifier etc. a RARE !!!
