You are bidding on a SCARCE Lionel Postwar 6121 Pipe car. This is a YELLOW variety. (Medium Yellow). But what makes it a Transition piece, is that it has TRype I Lettering, Heat Stamped and exactly 2 inches long, and also has the AAR Plastic Trucks, riveted directly to the body. 3 Original Plastic Pipes. MOST ALL Type 1 Lettering (First Run), were equipped with Bar end Metal Trucks. Only a few received the newer Plastic AAR trucks as the second paint runs went thru with the lettering now 2 1/6 or 2 1/8 inches wide. A few chips here and there. Not anything bad at all.
