Quality work is NEVER an accident, but the result of high intentions and a sincere effort. Having serviced Lionel transformers for almost 30 years for some of the finest Chicago area hobby shops, you are assured of receiving a fully functional transformer ! Check my feedback! Selling and repairing train transformers is my specialty! 's another nice TW, this is the only post-war transformer built that has 2 coils, one for operating trains, the other for a abnormally high accessory load which has 2 sets of 14 volt posts! This is the later model that has 7 terminal posts! Case has NO cracks or breaks and case shows little use, I would grade the nameplate about 9.5, 10 being new, disregard flash-burn on nameplate! Paint on baseplate is NOT original! Max. output shows 18.1 volts and when using whistle function 24.4 volts, a diode was installed to replace the antiquated whistle disc. Orange directional handle is not original but the copper insert was added to eliminate wear caused by shaft lugs! The power cord was replaced as I ALWAYS do and both circuit breakers were checked for proper opening time! The new "repro"box shown has a built in insert to protect handle "overhang"!
