What we have here is an original grouping of the Littletown No. 314 Maple Trees that were made in 1953 and 1954. The complete set is for 12 trees so there are 24 total pieces in the box as it takes two pieces to build one three-dimensional tree. I did not see any missing pegs on the back of each unit of which there are two to a section to match into holes on the second section. Made by 'Unlimited Plastics', LIttletown was a competitor to Plasticville in 1953 and 1954 before Bachman bought 'Unlimited Plastics' sometime in 1955. Some of the Littletown molds would be added to the Plasticville line over the next few years, but never the Maple Trees. The trees are nice so I'll grade the 12 trees at C-7. The box is complete and has all of its flaps, but the non-ID end has been taped shut for some reason. Still, a nice box. The box I'll put at P-6. The pictures tell a lot of the story here so take a good look. A wonderful addition to any 'S' or 'O' gauge lay-out or Littletown/Plasticville collection. Don't let this one get away. WMF.FYI -- After being a Sunday-to-Sunday seller here on Ebay the past many years of Plasticville (and Littletown) and American Flyer, Farner's Flyer is going to move Plasticville sales to a Saturday-to-Saturday format at least until train shows return (and those will return....I hope) and I am busy on the road read more
