Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1815-1835, a one-gallon jug with cobalt floral, stamped "L. NORTON & SON," Bennington, VT origin, circa 1835; paired with an ovoid jug with cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals, stamped "GOODWIN & WEBSTER," Hartford, CT, circa 1815. Norton jug with heavy chipping to spout, some crazing to base, minor surface wear, and staining. Goodwin & Webster jug with heavy chipping to spout, shallow chipping to base, and light surface wear. H (of Norton jug) 11 1/2".
