The paint job on this pot is astounding!!!!! Imaginative and creative. Amazing fine line details, an artistic wonder. This hand coiled, hand painted and hand fired Casas Grandes pot is a unique and traditional design. Hand painted traditional geometric designs seem to almost jump off of the polished black pottery walls. This pot is ~7-3/8" tall and ~10" wide. Signed Lupe Ontiveros. Painting is still widely used to decorate pots in the Southwest. Potters make no measurements or sketches but paint designs free-hand.
