PATY ORTIZ-ARTIST EXTRAORDINARE MUSEUM QUALITY ART This is a masterpiece of art by the exceptionally talented artist from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico--collectors will recognize the name of this well-known potter, Paty Ortiz. She has formed this piece of art with the popular marbled clay and given it a very velvety finish. This pot as others she creates, has a very thin wall. Her bands of intricate geometrics wrap around and incorporate the representation of a gecko figures which is repeated on both sides and are executed flawlessly. It is a delight to study the complexity of the designs on this exquisite "olla". The pot is signed and stands 8" tall. I will include a complimentary clay ring for a stand.
