Melissa Menchella Lindenwood Lady Lions Lacrosse Bobblehead Limited 500 Copies From the Lindenwood Athletics Website Posted 1/5/16:It was announced today that former Lindenwood student-athlete Melissa Menchella will be honored with the retirement of her #22 jersey on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in a special pre-game ceremony before the Lady Lions take on Limestone College. Menchella will become the first Lindenwood student-athlete in the NCAA era to have her number retired, as no other Lindenwood women's lacrosse player will ever wear the #22 again. To celebrate the momentous occasion, bobbleheads using her likeness will be passed out to the first 500 fans courtesy of Lindenwood University, Brave Lacrosse, and an anonymous donor."This is an exciting announcement for our program," said head coach Jack Cribbin . " Melissa Menchella spent four years as a model student-athlete for our University. Her accomplishments speak for themselves. As humble as they come, Melissa always displayed the high quality character and integrity that make an announcement like this even possible.
