Mongolian Antique Buddhist Shamans Ritual item! This is the first time I have found one like this! Rare find! * This is an old steel jaw harp. In Mongolia, this is considered a sacred instrument by shamans and is often used in their rituals. In Mongolian, this is called an "amaan huur" or mouth instrument. The jaw harp is considered a yin instrument and is used by the shaman to directly enter a changed state of perception, and is tfore more for the player and less for the listener By using the jaw harp in this way, the shaman can access these other worlds to see guidance from spirit helpers.
