Nemaki Japanese Pajamas/Robe for Men 3L Size New size for tall guys! Bestfit is for men 5' 11 1/2"- 6'2" Tall. I also have shorter nemaki for men listed separately, and wider waist nemaki, as well as nemaki for ladies. they make a great gift! If you've never been to a ryokan, or Japanese Inn, I hope you have the chance. If you have had the pleasure of being pampered at one of these traditional lodgings, you'll probably remember the luxurious robe that you were given to wear. These robes are called nemaki, literally, sleepwear. At first glance they look like a yukata summer kimono. In fact, I noticed that lots of my customers were buying yukata to wear as house robes or sleepwear, and I began to search for a Kyoto company that makes real Japanese pajamas. Well, I decided to put the word out and a friend in the textile business here in Kyoto gave me an introduction to the manager of a small Kyoto company that specializes in these wonderful robes. As we sat there drinking cold barley tea(quite refreshing on a muggy Kyoto summer's afternoon!) Mr. Yamamoto proudly showed us some of his work. His nemaki are top of the line and feature such things as a top quality lining made of long lasting gauze, a separate belt in the same pattern as the nemaki, as well as ties sewn on the garment that make cinching it, well.....a cinch!
