This netsuke measures 1 3/4 inches long and 1 inch high. T is a very clear signature on the base. It was purchased from a dealer in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1973. It is one of my favorites from my husband's collection. It looks as though the artist must have cared for this puppy--it looks as though the pup is ready to play. The face has expression. The bright eyes appear to be glass! The netsuke has been in a smoke-free home and has been displayed in a glass case away from direct sunlight. It will be packed carefully and shipped by First Class mail. T is no charge for packing and shipping charge will be the amount charged by the postal service.
