original letter , 8.5 x 11 , one page , torn at the edges , staple mark at the corner , two file holes at top edge , signed in pen under typewritten " Pinin Farina " . The signature is difficult to read but it probably is " Pinin " , sent by the Nash factory from Pinin Farina , Turin , Italy to George Romney . Written on the letterhead of " Carrozzeria , Pinin Farina , Torino " We understand your point of view about the Alfa Romeo car , and we do not insist on our offer... We are glad knowing the progress of our prototype... We are very pleased to tell you our impression of it and you would be very kind sending to us some photographs of it . Referring once more to the price of the Nash Healey prototypes , we thank you very much for your kind letter of November 6 , and we confirm that the first prototype will cost $18,000 and the second $9000... " This letter was obtained from the estate of an American Motors Executive who had acquired some of the Nash Archives many decades ago . This letter is the only one in existence . This was obviously highly confidential information at the time . Original Automobile,Truck, and Motorcycle Literature, 1900 to Present.
