OCTOPUS Australian Sea Life II The Reef Silver Coin 50c Australia 2012 OCTOPUS SILVER COIN FROM "SEA LIFE II" SERIES The fourth release in the stunning series, Australian Sea Life II Series, � features a spectacularly realistic portrayal of an octopus. Australian Sea Life II Series. Struck of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, the coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Australia. The coin’s reverse depicts an octopus in colour and includes The Perth Mint’s 'P' mintmark. Incorporated into the design are the inscriptions: AUSTRALIAN SEA LIFE II – THE REEF – OCTOPUS. The obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2012 year-date and the monetary denomination. The coin is housed in a display case with a stunningly illustrated coral reef shipper, and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Each shipper joins with other shippers in the series to create a superb underwater scene.
