For bid is an old set of bottle opener spurs attributed to Frank M. Harvey. He is featured in the book by Ned and Jody Martin and Kurt House, Bit and Spur Makers in the Texas Tradition. He lived from 1876 to 1944 and made spurs from stainless steel and used Mexican coins. He rarly marked his spurs but when he did it was on the bottom rear on the heel band, and stamped HARVEY. He also made a rowel by drilling holes, sawing to them making a spade looking rowel as shown in the pictures. These spurs are not marked and are in great condition with no breaks or repairs. The old straps look original to the spurs, And are man size. The bands are 1/2" wide, the shanks are 2 1/4" long with 1 5/8" X 6 point rowels. Buyer pays shipping of $6.00 USA and a little more for the buyers in Canada. This auction has no reserve.
