UP FOR AUCTION TODAY~~~long held and decades old collection of socialite Mrs. Louise Ross Evans of San Francisco, California and Montecito CA, Fine Art and Asian Art collection, group released now from an elderly lady traveler who bought fine paintings, art and porcelain and bronzes, etc extensively over the past 65+ years until recent years in China, the East Coast and European cities.

FINE OLD ESTATE Chinese jade carving of child or baby figure in white jade. measures 3.5" tall in original condition, very lustrous transluscent type jade. child wears long flwoing embroidered robes and jewelry pendant in front of textile costume. hard to find good luck symbol given to parents and grandparents upon birth as tradition in Asian countries. ideal gift for grandparents. from a jewelry box marked "purchased in antique shop in Shanghai long ago on first trip, mid 1940s" as found in this estate in October. please view all pics for sweet face details. some dust easily removed by buyer. no damage or restoration.
