Hand Woven Old Navajo Regional Rug Created from Handspun High Quality Native Navajo Merino Wool Yarn on the Navajo Reservation Circa 1900 - 1935 4 feet 1 inches long x 3 feet wide ( Condition: Average - T is light wear in the body of the rug, and a strip along the bottom edge w t are quite a few broken warps. Otherwise this weaving is fine and flexible with silky sturdy wool, clean and without odor. Description; This rug has an attractive design, strong color, and great wool. However the pattern is not attributed to any particular trading post or region so it falls into the category of "regional rugs" a misnomer since in the trade we don't attribute it to any region. The high quality of the wool however lends me to believe that it might have been woven in the area around the Crystal trading post. This item is from a Marin County , California Collector.
