Here is a outstanding, mint in original box, early, Kestner or JDK character with a beautiful face, huge blue glass sleep eye, gorgeous original long human hair wig over her original plaster pate and her marked, mint, JDK body. She is wearing her marvelous original chemise, long pair of antique pantaloons, antique socks and antique shoes along with a fabulous antique ring of antique flowers in her hair. It’s obviously she has been packed away for years and has really never be played with. Best of all is her original Kestner box and the lable on the end is fabulous plus the box still has the original tissue and straw filled pillow for her to lay on. She is absolutely gorgeous with flawless bisque and excellent coloring. She is 24" tall and marked K Made in Germany 14 164 and was born in the later 1800's by the Kestner or JDK Doll Factory. She has fabulous, perfect, smooth peaches and cream bisque with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Her coloring is fantastic and the sculpting to her beautiful face is stunning. She has huge sparkling blue glass sleep eyes, all her eye lid wax along with painted upper and lower lashes and early heavy, Kestner brows. She has 4 porcelain teeth and wonderful full rosy cheeks with a double chin and a dimple in on her chin. She has her original plaster pate with her fabulous, original long human hair wig. Her wig is wonderfulfully long and pretty much in the original set with relaxed long curls and a part in the middle. Her original wood jointed and composition Kestner body is in near mint condition and still retains the original finish and is marked in red on her butt Germany 6. The only reason I say near mint is because there is a little paint chip on the lower leg at the knew joint but that’s pretty much it. This is a beautiful body and her hands and fingers are perfect. She is wearing her outstanding original antique chamies in mint condtioin with no holes, rips or stains. I do think the wide, anitque red silk ribbon with bow in front was added some time ago and it makes her perfect for the holidays. It has half sleeves with box pleats and a wide row of delicate hand tied lace around the edges and that is the same as around her neck. Her dress is straight to the drop waist were it’s fabulously full with small smal thin pleats all around then the same wide row of the hand tied lace around the bottom. There is a wide red anitque silk ribbon down the front with a smaller bow on top and a bigger one at the bottom that looks amazing. As stated I’m sure it was added long ago but how perfect can that color for just in time for Christmas. I have it pinned in back as with most original chamises there were never any buttons or hooks so you could add them but I don’t sew or mend so I’ll leave that to you. Her antique and long pantaloons are super with wide lace trim around the legs and ties in back and I think her socks are original. Her antique shoes are fabulous and could be original but I’m not sure about that, yet still are fantastic. She has an amazing aniqtue band or ring of antique flower around her head that makes her look like a christmas angle and completes her look at the perfect JDK character. Best of all is her original Kestner box is great condtion the bottom of the box is excellent with straw in the sied , original tissue and her original straw stuff pillow for her head to rest on and protect her beautiful head. The original label at the end of the box is outstanding. There are 3 seprate lables, one says Medium and the other says Eyes are tied tied in back remove strings. This biggest and most beautiful reads Made in German with the angle with wing along with the Kestner crown that reads JDK German Trade Mark Kestner Jointed Doll, Shirt,Size and what looks like a 3.00 price tag.
