Fine Pair of Chinese Canton Famille Rose Covered Vases Album Album Album Fine Pair of Chinese Canton Famille Rose Covered Vases Circa 1880.The baluster sides surmounted on a flower-shaped everted rim, painted overall in vivid enamels and gilt with a shaped panel to each side enclosing a court scene, all reserved on a white ground enriched with an abundance of pink flowers, butterflies and fruit. The shoulders decorated with a smaller panel depicting a court scene, the neck set with gilded elephant trump shaped handles. The domed cover decorated en suite and headed by a fruit shaped finial. Measures: H. 16.50 in. (42cm.) Condition: Very fine quality, one vase and cover in good condition, the second vase with a restoration to the body and the cover.
