Bennett and the Company .Thanks Ron HISTORY: Thehistory of Bennett Peachblow started with Si Wright of the L.G. Wright Co, who had, along with all his Fenton items, had traditionally purchased his Peachblow items from Salvatore (Sam) Diana of the Venitian Glass Co. of Rochester, Pa. Wright, to his subsequent regret, introduced Salvatore Diana to Harold Bennett in 1967, and Bennett promptly purchased the entire company with the proviso that Diana taught him how to produce the Peachblow formula! Diana agreed, and that same year returned to his native Italy a rich man, where he passed peacefully in 1980. Bennett immediately moved everything to his location at 609 S. 8th Street in Cambridge, Ohio, called the Guernsey Glass Co. Si Wright had traditionally purchased Peachblow items from Diana at a lot price of $5 each/ irrespective of the style. Bennett refused to sell at that ridiculous price and consequently lost L.G. Wright as a customer. read more
