RARE PFALTZGRAFF CHARGER PLATE AMERICA AMERICANA HANIBLE 12 INCH Nice Pfaltzgraff Charger plate in the AMERICA AMERICANA style. This one is the Hanible. Elephant in the middle. Famous yellow overall color and sponge design on the rim. Hard to find . 12 Inch diameter. According to some knowledgeable Ebayer, this is one of the Earlier runs, since the later ones had wording explaining the pattern, while this one has not. These chargers were not part of the America pattern, but were made rather to complement it. Only sold during the production year. The design came from a quilt at the museum of Folk art. T are 2 holes in the back that allows the plate to be used as a decorative wall hanger. This plate is not new. Has a few scratches on the front, mostly visible when you wiggle the plate around in the light. The glaze is still very shiny. No chips/cracks. T are a few little miss glaze spots on the rim and the back (factory flaws), but does not take away from the beauty of the plate.
