A little background. Moriyama Pottery was located in Mori-Machi in Shizuoka Prefecture. The brand was established in 1911 by Hidekichi Nakamura, who was taught pottery making by Seison Suzuki. There seems to be two primary stamps: one is a crown with a wreath of leaves. This stamp is usually marked "Moriyama Hand Paint Japan." The other is a bouquet of flowers and is marked "Moriyama Made in Japan." This listing has 4 original Moriyama pieces to choose from:1. Moriyama Pitcher. Cream Pottery Pitcher.
