This is a very lovely Royal Worcester nautilus shell supported by gilded coral branches and surrounded on the base by gold shells of various types. The piece was broken at one time and someone performed an amazing repair job. The pieces were somehow pegged together (see photo) and, aside from small cracks on the sides of the base, t is no evidence of damage on the outside of the piece. The vase is 6-1/2" tall and about 4-1/2" across the shell and 3-1/2" across the base. It has a blue circle mark with "51" inside and a crown on top. This mark apparently was changed in 1891 to include "Royal Worcester England", which is not found Seller requests $5.00 s/h.
