Prehistoric Hohokam / Salado Ladle Scoop 3 3/8" long X 1 7/8" wide From the collection of Mina Lang Brooks of Payson, AZ, a fourth-generation Arizonan and East Valley (Mesa, AZ) pioneer. She was born on the Dana Ranch in Mesa and lived most of her life in Queen Creek and Chandler. She and her husband, Robert, were proud Queen Creek farmers for 30 years. After farming, they lived happily in Chandler until they made their move to retire in Payson in 1998. Her passions were family get-togethers, Indian artifacts, Diet Pepsi, card games, John Wayne movies, and the collecting of any and all items that took her eye. Because of her generosity, many pieces from her extensive artifact collection are now shown at the Heard, Mesa, Chandler Pioneer and Queen Creek Museums.
