This is a very fine and rare primitive watercolor with a very detailed pencil drawing of an Eighteenth Century Woman. The texture is great with vivid colors and a very strong details. The perspective is a little off, as the lower half of the body is too long for the top, and the feet are way too tiny for the body. This is unsigned but definitely a primitive watercolor painting that dates from probably 1775 to 1790 or maybe 1795. The painting is in a frame that is much later than the painting itself. So it was re-framed at some point in the 19th century. I also believe that the backboard is not original to the painting or the frame.I offer it with a reserve. DIMENSIONS: Frame is 11 3/4" W. x 13 5/8" H. x 11/16" Deep. The live painting is 7 3/4" W. x 9 5/8" H. CONDITION: The condition is very good with some browning to the paper. The frame is a little small for the painting as the live portion overlaps the edges on each side. SHIPPING: Buyer pays actual shipping costs based upon the 5 pounds and 7 ounces weight and postal zone. Please use the shipping calculator
