Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee of Coronation from 1977 five pound coin size Commemorative Crown Coin in its original Protective Presentation Case Please note that I am on holiday from Saturday 5th May for a week and therefore I will be unable to post items until my return on Monday 14th May Issued to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne in 1952 as determined by the Royal Proclamation on 17th December 1976. The designs, which are by Arnold Machin OBE, RA,show the Ampulla and Annointing Spoon that were used in the Coronation ceremony. These are believed to to date respectively to the 14th and 12th centuriesand are probably the oldest items in the Royal Regalia to have remained in continual use. The obverse shows the Queen on horseback as the Commander-in-Chief of the Grenadier Guards Edge The edge is reeded Specification Version Alloy Diameter Weight BU Cupro-Nickel 38.61mm 28.28 grams Condition I am no expert but would think that this coin would be viewed as UNC as, having been kept in its rigid plastic protective presentation case, it is in 8/10 'mint condition' with only bag marks and therefore there is little, if any surface scratching ( Library picture used [ with lid removed ] but I can confirm that the coin and case are in similar condition ) Payment Via paypal where possible, read more
