A Mad Whirl This figurine depicts the giddy, tea-drinking haberdasher - the Mad Hatter - in a tea cup as featured in the Walt Disney World Resort attraction Mad Tea Party . This piece was produced exclusively for the Fantasyland-themed Walt Disney Art Classics 2001 Convention held at the Walt Disney World Resort. It was only made available to attendees at this event. It is number 477 in an extremely rare hand-numbered limited edition of 750 . The Walt Disney Classics Collection sculptures Grumpy - "Hmph! I ain't scared." - and Timothy Mouse and Dumbo - Flying over Fantasyland - compliment this piece. Both pieces were released as part of this convention exclusive limited edition. A special Fantasyland base was also created by the Walt Disney Classics Collection to display these pieces. We have posted all pieces in this rare limited edition for auction. The Walt Disney Classics Collection item number for this piece is 1217634. The incised annual production mark for this sculpture is the Butterfly from Walt Disney's Bambi signifying production in year 2001. This dizzy sculpture is rendered in fine porcelain.
