This is an RCA Balanced Amplifier from around 1924. Balanced, meaning Push-Pull, this unit was used as a speaker driver with sets such as the Radiola III and other low tube count radios. It uses two WD-11 tubes, or it can be used with the less expensive 199 or 864 tubes with base adaptors. This unit is complete and all original. Condition: ü Overall: Excellent, complete, clean, original, and in working order. ü Hardware: Bright, shiny, complete and all original. ü Bakelite panel: No chips, cracks, gouges, or scratches. ü Panel engraving: Engraved lettering is well filled and legible. ü Tube socket shock mounts: Recently replaced with soft pliable neoprene. ü Rheostat control: Perfect condition, turns freely and smoothly. ü Tubes: The two WD-11 tubes furnished are for display only (open filaments) ü Logo decal: Excellent and complete. ü Interior: Clean with no rust or corrosion. ü Audio transformers: Both tested under load and guaranteed good. ü Cloth covered power cable: Original, full length, no fraying. Complete with tags. ü Cabinet: No cracks, chips, or separations. Original finish is excellent. The serial number is stamped crisply into the bottom.
